On Wednesday, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz revealed that ambassadors from various countries have raised serious concerns about the 'political chaos' in Pakistan. She addressed these concerns during a ceremony in Faisalabad, citing a recent meeting with ambassadors, including the Chinese and U.S. envoys.

Maryam stated that political instability is a longstanding issue in Pakistan, one that her father, former premier Nawaz Sharif, has witnessed throughout his career. The remarks come amid reports suggesting that friendly countries are hesitant to invest due to the unstable political environment.

Political upheaval has been pervasive in Pakistan over the past two years, highlighted by a protracted standoff between the military and the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) party. PTI leader Imran Khan has been jailed for over a year in multiple cases. Meanwhile, allegations of election rigging by the military to install a hybrid regime under Shehbaz Sharif have further compounded the nation's turmoil.
