Donald Trump has unveiled a plan offering various incentives to attract foreign companies to relocate their manufacturing operations to the United States, should he win the November 5 election. Speaking in Georgia, Trump emphasized the incentives, which include low taxes and fewer regulations, would only be available to companies shifting production to the U.S. and employing American workers.

During his speech in Savannah, a major port and car manufacturing hub, Trump encouraged German car companies to become American car companies by building their plants in the U.S. He warned that companies failing to comply would face substantial tariffs on products imported into the U.S. Trump's proposal also includes tax breaks for U.S.-based manufacturers, particularly to offset research, development costs, and write off heavy machinery costs in the first year.

In a related move, Trump threatened a 200% tariff on John Deere imports if the company moves production to Mexico. Increasing tariffs on both allies and competitors has become central to Trump's promise to preserve and create American manufacturing jobs. However, mainstream economists claim such trade barriers would lead to higher consumer inflation. Trump also reiterated plans to lower corporate tax rates to 15% from 21% for domestic manufacturers, while Vice President Kamala Harris prepares to unveil her own economic proposals aimed at aiding Americans in building and maintaining wealth.
