Kamala Harris Pushes for Final Debate Amid Election Countdown
As the Nov. 5 election approaches, Vice President Kamala Harris is pushing for an Oct. 23 debate on CNN, but former President Donald Trump declines, citing the commencement of early voting. Harris emphasized the importance of another debate to provide voters with more information before Election Day.
Vice President Kamala Harris is advocating for a new debate on Oct. 23, just as early voting gains momentum ahead of the Nov. 5 election.
Harris urged former President Donald Trump to participate in the debate, following their initial face-off on Sept. 10 on ABC. 'We owe it to the American people to debate once more before Election Day,' Harris stated at a fundraiser in New York City.
Trump, however, cited the ongoing early voting as a reason to avoid another debate. 'The problem with another debate is that it's just too late. Voting has already started,' he remarked at a rally in North Carolina.
Harris acknowledged the early voting but argued that the race is still incredibly close, underscoring the need for further engagement with voters.
