The Congress party filed a police complaint on Wednesday, alleging that recent statements by leaders of the ruling NDA targeted Rahul Gandhi, aiming to jeopardize his safety and security. The complaint was filed by AICC treasurer Ajay Maken.
The statements have been accused of intending to disturb peace, particularly amid the elections in Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana. The complaint cites remarks by BJP leaders Tarvinder Singh Marwah, Ravneet Singh Bittu, Raghuraj Singh, and Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad.
Maken pointed out that the threats evoke memories of past assassinations within the Gandhi family, emphasizing that the Congress party will not be intimidated. The party called for FIRs to be registered against the named leaders.
