The second Asia Pacific Ministerial Conference on Civil Aviation concluded on Thursday with the adoption of the Delhi Declaration. The two-day event, hosted by India's Ministry of Civil Aviation in collaboration with the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) at Bharat Mandapam, culminated with Prime Minister Narendra Modi announcing the unanimous approval of the declaration.

Delegates from 29 countries, along with top civil aviation leaders and policymakers, attended the conference. The Delhi Declaration, a comprehensive framework for enhancing regional cooperation, addressing emerging challenges, and fostering sustainable growth in the civil aviation sector, was formally adopted. Prime Minister Modi highlighted India's technological and infrastructural advancements in aviation and emphasized making the sector more inclusive for women.

Prime Minister Modi proposed the creation of an 'International Buddhist Circuit' to connect holy sites related to Lord Buddha, which could boost the aviation sector and economies of related countries. Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu noted India's commitment to sustainability and its goal to have 350-400 airports by 2047. ICAO President Salvatore and other officials reiterated the focus on aviation safety, security, and green initiatives. The conference also commemorated ICAO's 80th anniversary, underscoring the organization's pivotal role in international aviation standards.
