External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar announced in Geneva that approximately 75% of the disengagement issues along the India-China border have been resolved. However, he pointed out that increased militarization remains a significant concern.

Addressing an interactive session at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy, Jaishankar highlighted the profound impact the Galwan Valley clashes of June 2020 have had on bilateral relations. He emphasized that restoring peace at the border is essential for improving overall ties.

While there has been some progress, Jaishankar noted that a full resolution requires addressing not only immediate border issues but also larger trade and diplomatic concerns. He underlined that India's relationship with China cannot be considered normal until these core issues are addressed.
