Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the central government's aim to make air travel accessible, safe, and affordable for the common man during the Asia Pacific Ministerial Conference on Civil Aviation. Addressing delegates at Bharat Mandapam, PM Modi stated, "Our goal is to make air travel accessible to the common man."

In a visionary move, PM Modi announced the adoption of the 'Delhi Declaration' by all member states, calling it a transformative roadmap poised to elevate the region's aviation sector. Commending the Asia Pacific region's commitment, Modi highlighted, "The brightest minds of the civil aviation sector are amongst us here." Among key initiatives is planting 80,000 trees in honor of mothers, overseen by Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu.

Highlighting India's aviation progress, Modi noted a decade-long transformation from an aviation-exclusive to an aviation-inclusive country. "Ten years ago, air travel was limited to a few; today, citizens from tier 2 and tier 3 cities also fly. Our policy changes and the Udaan scheme have driven this inclusion," he emphasized. Additionally, he underscored the massive growth reflected in orders for over 1200 new aircraft by Indian airlines, illustrating India's evolving aviation landscape.
