Preparations are intensifying for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled visit to Jamshedpur city in Jharkhand on September 15, according to an official statement released on Thursday.
A crucial meeting of senior officials from the East Singhbhum district administration, led by Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mitta, took place at the district collectorate to discuss the necessary arrangements.
The Prime Minister is set to flag off a Vande Bharat train from Tatanagar station and will address a gathering at the station premises. Following this, a 1.5-km-long roadshow will take place from Voltas Roundabout to Gopal Maidan, where another public meeting will be held.
In light of the upcoming visit, Mittal instructed officials to complete preparations urgently. Detailed discussions were held about the helipad at Sonari aerodrome, Tatanagar station, and arrangements for the roadshow and public meeting, the statement detailed.
Senior officials have been assigned responsibilities for barricade setups for crowd control, stage construction for the public meeting, deployment of magistrates around event venues, and ensuring the readiness of medical teams and ambulances, it added.
