High-Profile Leaders File Nominations for Haryana Assembly Polls
Several high-profile leaders, including Aditya Surjewala, Savitri Jindal, and Shruti Choudhry, filed their nominations for the Haryana assembly elections on the last day of nominations. Several high-profile leaders, including Congress leader Randeep Surjewala's son Aditya Surjewala and BJP's Shruti Choudhry, filed their nominations on Thursday for the Haryana assembly elections. Among others was Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal's mother Savitri Jindal.
INLD leader Abhay Chautala filed his papers from Ellenabad, while BJP nominee Mahipal Dhanda and former Deputy CM Chander Mohan also completed nominations for Panipat Rural and Panchkula seats, respectively.
The Haryana assembly elections, covering 90 seats, will be held on October 5, with votes counted on October 8. Thursday marked the final day for filing nominations, and scrutiny will occur on September 13, with a withdrawal date set for September 16.
