Tributes Pour in as CPI (M) Leader Sitaram Yechury Passes Away

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar expressed condolences on the passing of CPI (M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury, highlighting his instrumental role in shaping the UPA-1 government, his impactful interventions in the Rajya Sabha, and his enduring legacy in Indian politics.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday mourned the demise of CPI (M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury, acknowledging his key role in the formation of the UPA-1 government and his influence on critical policy issues.

Yechury, who passed away at AIIMS in New Delhi after a prolonged illness, was lauded by the Chief Minister as a fine human being and a multilingual scholar whose contributions enriched public life. Siddaramaiah noted Yechury's significant involvement in the creation of the INDIA bloc and his respected stature in the Rajya Sabha.

Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar also paid homage, emphasizing Yechury's amiable nature and steadfast conviction, stating that his presence will be missed.
