Congress Strengthens Call for NC Alliance Support in J-K Elections

In a fervent appeal on Thursday, the Congress party urged the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir to vote en masse for its alliance with the National Conference (NC) in the forthcoming assembly elections. The party's goal is to achieve an absolute majority to champion the rights of the people.

Speaking to reporters, Congress MP in the Rajya Sabha Syed Naseer Hussain emphasized the importance of a unified vote, stating, "Not a single seat should go outside the alliance. With an absolute majority, we can fight for the restoration of full statehood from the Centre."

Hussain also accused the BJP of unscrupulous tactics, such as using the governor's office, splitting parties, and leveraging agencies like the CBI and ED to form governments in states where they lack a majority. He cautioned voters to be wary of independent candidates acting as BJP proxies and reaffirmed the Congress's commitment to full statehood for Jammu and Kashmir.
