Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of heading towards becoming the leader of an anti-India separatist group. Adityanath's comments came in a Hindi post on X, in which he criticized Gandhi's alliance with the National Conference for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections.
Adityanath labeled the Farooq Abdullah-led National Conference as ''anti-national'' and alleged that Gandhi aims to destroy India's unity, integrity, and social harmony. He also accused the former Congress president of planning to abolish reservations for backward classes in favor of Muslims.
The Chief Minister's attack did not end there; he asserted that as long as there is even a single BJP worker in India, Gandhi's divisive tactics would not succeed. Adityanath emphasized that the BJP, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, remains committed to uplifting the oppressed and marginalized sections of society, and he called upon Gandhi to apologize to the nation for his actions.
