In Nagpur, Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule's son, Sanket, faces intense scrutiny following a controversial accident involving his luxury car. Authorities specified that Sanket did not consume beef at a local bar prior to the incident, debunking allegations made by Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut.
The police confirmed that Sanket and his friends consumed liquor along with mutton and chicken dishes at La Horee bar in Dharampeth. The Audi, registered to Sanket, struck multiple vehicles in Ramdaspeth, injuring two individuals. Although present in the car at the crash time, Sanket was not driving; Arjun Hawre, the driver, was arrested and later granted bail.
This incident has quickly escalated into a political storm, with opposition parties accusing the Mahayuti government of shielding the senior BJP leader's son. The controversy comes at a critical time, just ahead of the assembly elections.
