BJP leader Jairam Thakur has accused the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh of neglecting the process of identity registration and verification for street vendors. This, he claims, is linked to the controversy surrounding the alleged illegal construction of the Sanjauli mosque.
Thakur remarked that the Congress government's inaction over the last 20 months has left the streets filled with individuals whose backgrounds are unknown. He emphasized the need to resume the identity verification process to avoid such situations.
As protests against the mosque construction are scheduled for Wednesday in Shimla, Thakur urged the public to demonstrate peacefully and called on the government to ensure law and order. He criticized the Congress for allegedly reprimanding their own minister, Anirudh Singh, who initially raised concerns about the mosque in the assembly.
Thakur also highlighted the urgency of legal actions in this case and mentioned that the next court hearing is scheduled for October 5.
