External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has held a pivotal meeting with Michael Roth, Chairman of the German Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs, to examine current global challenges and explore potential new bilateral collaborations between India and Germany.
Jaishankar is in Germany on the second leg of his three-nation tour, having arrived from Saudi Arabia where he attended the first India-Gulf Cooperation Council Ministerial Meeting for Strategic Dialogue. Following his meeting with Roth, Jaishankar shared views on global order, multipolarity, and security challenges in a session organized by the Munich Security Conference.
In addition to his engagements with Roth and security policy experts, Jaishankar also met with the members of the German parliament. During these interactions, he expressed his appreciation for their insights on contemporary issues and emphasized their role in strengthening India-Germany relations. Earlier, Jaishankar had extensive discussions with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock on the India-Germany Strategic Partnership, touching on trade, defense, and security.
