Delhi Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi has lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing the party of focusing solely on toppling elected governments. Her statements come in response to a recent request by Delhi BJP President Vijender Gupta and seven other MLAs to President Droupadi Murmu to dismiss the AAP government in Delhi.

"The BJP's primary agenda is to topple elected governments. They attempt to poach MLAs and form a government through unethical means wherever they fail to win outright. Despite their efforts in Delhi, they couldn't purchase AAP MLAs or destabilize the government. Now, they have launched a fresh conspiracy against the elected government of Delhi," Atishi stated. She further added that the BJP will secure zero seats in the upcoming Delhi assembly elections.

Addressing the Delhiites, Atishi said, "The people of Delhi are observant. They know that if there is anyone working for their welfare, it's Arvind Kejriwal. If the BJP were to topple the Kejriwal government, Delhi residents would respond decisively in the next election. Should there be Presidential Rule, the BJP will win absolutely zero assembly seats. I am confident of this."

Earlier today, Vijender Gupta, along with seven other MLAs, addressed a letter to President Murmu, calling for her urgent intervention in what they describe as a constitutional crisis in Delhi. This letter has been forwarded to the Ministry of Home Affairs for appropriate action.

The delegation of Delhi Legislative Assembly members, led by Gupta, met with President Murmu and submitted a memorandum detailing concerns over the functioning of the AAP government under Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The group, including MLAs Mohan Singh Bisht, Om Prakash Sharma, Ajay Mahawar, Abhay Verma, Anil Bajpai, Jitender Mahajan, Kartar Singh Tanwar, and former minister Rajkumar Anand, requested the dismissal of the AAP government under Article 356 of the Constitution. They claimed that important orders requiring the Chief Minister's signature have been left pending, leading to a 'complete breakdown of governance' in Delhi.
