India's New UN Envoy Strengthens Ties With World Leaders
UN chief Antonio Guterres welcomed India's new Permanent Representative to the UN, Parvathaneni Harish, highlighting India's pivotal role in the democratic system within the UN. Harish, who recently took charge in New York, has already engaged with several top UN leaders and global counterparts to bolster international cooperation.
UN chief Antonio Guterres on Monday commended India as a fundamental pillar of the democratic system within the UN while welcoming the new Indian envoy, Parvathaneni Harish.
Harish, India's newly appointed Permanent Representative to the UN, presented his credentials at the UN headquarters. Guterres expressed confidence that Harish's presence will further enhance cooperation between India and the UN.
Harish conveyed warm greetings from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. Upon his arrival in New York, Harish held bilateral meetings with various top UN leaders, strengthening diplomatic ties.
