The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced its first list of 20 candidates for the forthcoming Haryana Assembly elections, with a second list expected by Monday evening. According to the party's state chief, Sushil Gupta, the decision was expedited due to the nearing nomination deadline and the party's ongoing alliance discussions with Congress.

Gupta emphasized the tight timeframe for finalizing candidates, as there are only three days left to file nominations. He expressed confidence in the party's strong organizational structure and its potential to bring about a significant change in Haryana politics. Gupta also reiterated AAP's commitment to the INDI Alliance at the national level.

AAP's candidate list includes notable names for key constituencies such as Indu Sharma for Bhiwani, Bijender Hooda for Rohtak, and Kuldeep Chikara for Bahadurgarh. The elections are scheduled for October 5, with the last date for filing nominations set for September 12. Vote counting will take place on October 8.
