US Warns Businesses About Hong Kong Risks
The United States has cautioned American businesses regarding the growing risks to their operations in Hong Kong, attributed to a newly implemented national security law. The State Department highlighted that risks prevalent in mainland China are now increasingly seen in Hong Kong.
The United States on Friday issued a warning to American businesses about the escalating risks to their operations in Hong Kong, attributing these dangers to a national security law that took effect in March.
In its statement, the State Department underscored that threats traditionally associated with operating in mainland China are now also surfacing in Hong Kong.
"Businesses should be aware that the risks they face in the PRC (China) are now increasingly present in Hong Kong," the department emphasized in its release.
