On Friday, AAP supporters staged a protest near the BJP headquarters on DDU Marg, denouncing the recent arrest of Amanatullah Khan, an AAP MLA, and other party workers.

The protesters, who gathered near the old AAP office on DDU Marg, were stopped from marching towards the BJP headquarters by police forces, who had set up barricades to contain them.

Mariam, Khan's wife, joined the rally, accusing authorities of framing her husband in a baseless case. Leading figures within AAP, including MLAs Dilip Pandey and Kuldeep Kumar, were present at the protest. Khan's arrest by the Enforcement Directorate earlier this week pertains to allegations of money laundering during his time as chairman of the Delhi Waqf Board.

The rallying AAP members voiced strong opposition to the BJP, demanding an end to the alleged targeting of their leaders. Senior party leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia released a statement condemning the BJP's tactics, which he claimed were meant to destabilize the AAP through intimidation and legal actions.

Sisodia's allegations also included accusations that the BJP uses government agencies to persecute AAP leaders, mentioning that similar tactics had been employed against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and MP Sanjay Singh.

According to AAP's chief national spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar, Khan's arrest was unfounded and politically motivated, timed strategically with upcoming elections. However, a Delhi BJP spokesperson dismissed the protest, calling it a mere eyewash and asserting that Khan is involved in property and fund misappropriation.
