Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Friday declared that the unity of the INDI Alliance could potentially create a new chapter in Haryana's electoral history. He urged parties to rise above personal interests to defeat the 'crooked and selfish politics' of the BJP.
Yadav affirmed his party's commitment to support whichever INDI Alliance member stands the best chance of overcoming the BJP's 'negative, communal, and divisive politics' in Haryana. This statement coincides with intense seat-sharing negotiations between Congress and AAP ahead of the state assembly polls.
In a post on social media platform X, Yadav urged the SP and other INDI bloc members to prioritize sacrifice and selflessness for public welfare. He argued that selfish individuals cannot make historic contributions and emphasized the need for the alliance to focus on the true development and welfare of Haryana. Voting for Haryana's 90 Assembly seats is scheduled for October 5, with results to be counted on October 8.
