The Himachal Pradesh Assembly witnessed a dramatic walkout by BJP legislators on Thursday, following a contentious debate between Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur.
The clash was triggered by a government resolution seeking full disaster relief from the Centre.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu labeled the BJP's walkout as 'irresponsible', accusing them of being anti-Himachal Pradesh and driven by political gains.
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan added to the criticism, accusing the central government of bias and attacking the previous BJP administration for its financial mismanagement.
