Governor-Designate Honors Chief Minister's Legacy
Arif Mohammad Khan, the governor-designate of Bihar, visited the native village of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. During his visit, he paid tribute to Kumar’s late mother on her death anniversary. The Chief Minister, along with family, colleagues, and party members, honored his parents and wife by garlanding their statues and prayed at a local temple.

Arif Mohammad Khan, recently appointed as the governor of Bihar, made a notable visit to the native village of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Nalanda district. Khan, accompanied by Kumar, laid floral tributes at the memorial of Kumar's mother, Parmeshwari Devi, commemorating her death anniversary.
The visit, which took place in the Kalyan Bigha area of Harnaut block, included a stop at the memorial garden established in the name of Kumar's father, Ram Lakhan Singh. As per the Chief Minister's Office, Kumar also honored his late father and wife, Manju Sinha, by garlanding their statues in the presence of key political figures and family members.
Furthermore, Kumar offered prayers at the Bhagwati Mandir and engaged with local residents, demonstrating his enduring connection to his roots and the community. The event saw participation from minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Nalanda MP Kaushlendra Kumar, and other officials and leaders from the JD(U) party, highlighting a moment of communal respect and remembrance.
