Jammu and Kashmir BJP chief Ravinder Raina officially submitted his nomination papers for the Nowshera Assembly constituency in Rajouri district on Thursday.
In a vibrant roadshow in Nowshera, Raina was joined by RSS functionary and former BJP general secretary Ram Madhav, marking his second contest for the seat. He stated that his candidacy represents the aspirations of 1.25 lakh people in the constituency, with the large turnout reflecting a promising sign for BJP's success.
Raina expressed gratitude toward the supporters and confidently declared BJP's potential to form a majority government. He also criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and National Conference for their alleged disrespect toward the region's Maharajas, indicating voters would respond to such actions in the elections. Madhav echoed support for BJP's continued leadership for peace, progress, and development in Jammu and Kashmir.
