BJP's Anil Vij Pledges to Strengthen Party Ahead of Haryana Elections
BJP leader Anil Vij, contesting from Ambala Cantt constituency in Haryana's upcoming assembly elections, vows to strengthen party and regain trust of people. Key leaders and constituencies were discussed in a critical Delhi meeting as the election date approaches.

After being selected to represent the Ambala Cantt constituency in the forthcoming Haryana assembly elections, BJP leader Anil Vij has pledged to increase his efforts to win the trust of the electorate once more. 'I will work more, will win the people over again, strengthen the party further, and work harder... 'Kaam kiya hai kaam karenge' has been my slogan all along,' Vij stated on Wednesday.
The candidate list also names Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini for the Ladwa constituency and former state home minister Anil Vij for Ambala Cantt. Other notable candidates include Gian Chand Gupta, Kanwar Pal Gurjar, Sunita Duggal, Bhavya Bishnoi, and Tejpal Tanwar.
According to the list, Gian Chand Gupta will campaign in Panchkula, Kanwar Pal Gurjar in Jagadhri, Sunita Duggal in Ratia, Bhavya Bishnoi in Adampur, and Tejpal Tanwar in Sohna. Key BJP figures attended a strategic meeting on Tuesday at former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar's residence in Delhi to finalize the candidate lineup.
The meeting saw the presence of BJP Haryana Election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan, co-in-charge Biplab Dev, state in-charge Satish Punia, and co-in-charge Surender Nagar, among others. Earlier, on September 2, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president JP Nadda, election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan, co-in-charge Biplab Dev, state in-charge Satish Punia, co-in-charge Surender Nagar, and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar convened to discuss candidate selection.
The Haryana legislative assembly election is scheduled for October 5, with the last date for filing nominations being September 12. Vote counting will occur on October 8. Initially, the Election Commission of India (ECI) had set the polling date for October 1, later revising it to October 5 and rescheduling vote counting for both the Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana assemblies from October 4 to October 8.
