AIMIM leader Imtiaz Jaleel has issued a five-day ultimatum to the Maharashtra government to act against Ramgiri Maharaj over his controversial remarks against Muslims, warning of a march to Mumbai if his demands are unmet.
Jaleel criticized the state government for not taking action despite multiple FIRs against the seer. He pointed out that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had shown support to Ramgiri Maharaj, further inflaming tensions.
Allegedly, Maharaj's comments were made during a religious event in Nashik district, purportedly in response to atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh. Jaleel emphasized the need for justice and warned of peaceful protests if no action is taken.
