Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday asserted that the 4.5 crore residents of the state are content with the BJP administration, which has sparked high expectations among the populace.
The BJP, having taken power in June by displacing the BJD after 24 years, has ushered in its first government in Odisha. 'The people chose a government driven by their interests, rejecting the previous corrupt and bureaucratic regime,' Majhi stated during the launch of the BJP's membership drive.
'We have taken steps to ensure an accessible and responsive government. The citizens' trust in governance has significantly improved,' noted Majhi, citing admiration from BJP-led state leaders like Assam's Himant Biswa Sarma.
Majhi highlighted the remarkable outreach efforts, mentioning that they attended to 8,000 grievances in a single day. 'Our ministers dedicated from 10 am to 5 pm to listen to the people, even delaying lunch to serve,' he said.
Majhi pledged that the 'double-engine government' would expedite development initiatives to build a 'new Odisha' and contribute to a 'developed India.'
Furthermore, Majhi stressed the importance of their membership campaign, aiming to enlist at least one crore people statewide to empower the BJP for the next 25 years.
