Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Monday endorsed the establishment of a BJP-led government in Jammu and Kashmir to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi's promise of integrating the Union Territory into India's growth narrative. Singh emphasized the party's ongoing efforts to achieve this goal.
Singh accused the Congress and the National Conference (NC) of exploiting Article 370 for political leverage, highlighting their previous avoidance of public appearances in Srinagar and their current relaxed stance at Lal Chowk. He stressed that these parties once shunned the public but now seem to enjoy the leisure the region offers.
He reiterated the commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his administration to ensure that Jammu and Kashmir plays a crucial role in India's development strategy. Singh called for the BJP's government formation in J&K focusing on transparent governance, development, and efficient use of natural resources. He detailed a vision built on democratic processes, development of underdeveloped sectors, and fostering self-governance, crucial for effective administration.
