Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced on Monday that he has ordered the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) to re-conduct the Gazetted Probationers' examination. This decision follows reports of inappropriate Kannada translations in the exam questions. CM Siddaramaiah confirmed via a post on X, stating that the re-exam will be held within two months to ensure fairness for all candidates.

In his statement, CM Siddaramaiah assured that those responsible for the lapses have been relieved of their duties. He emphasized that the upcoming examination will be conducted with utmost responsibility and accountability, adhering to all due diligence.

BJP MLC N Ravi Kumar criticized the handling of the examination, citing multiple errors in the preliminary question paper for 384 gazetted probationer posts. The exam, initially conducted on August 27, faced criticism from Karnataka Rakshana Vedike President, TA Narayan Gowda, who highlighted that over 60 questions were incorrectly translated. Gowda warned of continued protests if a re-examination is not conducted.
