K C Tyagi, known for often highlighting the differences between Janata Dal (United) and the BJP, has resigned from his role as the JD(U) national spokesperson, the party announced on Sunday.
The resignation, attributed to 'personal reasons,' came with the appointment of Rajiv Ranjan Prasad as the new spokesperson by JD(U) president and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
While Tyagi will continue as a political advisor, his departure follows frequent instances of his outspoken views on various issues, which some within the party saw as detrimental to BJP-JD(U) relations.
