Minister Suresh Gopi Files Complaint Against Media Obstruction
Union Minister Suresh Gopi has lodged a police complaint against journalists for allegedly blocking his path at a government guest house in Thrissur. Concurrently, Congress leader Anil Akkara filed a complaint against Gopi over his conduct towards mediapersons. Tensions escalated following Gopi's comments on sexual harassment allegations against CPI(M) MLA M Mukesh.

Union Minister Suresh Gopi filed a police complaint against journalists on Wednesday, alleging that they obstructed his path as he exited the Thrissur Ramanilayam Government Guest House, according to a source here.
The complaint claims that journalists blocked his way at the guest house, the source noted.
In a separate complaint, Congress leader and former MLA Anil Akkara accused Gopi of misconduct towards mediapersons.
Akkara submitted his complaint to the Thrissur city police commissioner on Tuesday, seeking action against Gopi for allegedly violating his oath of office.
On Tuesday, when questioned about sexual harassment allegations against CPI(M) MLA M Mukesh, Gopi accused the media of misguiding the public and making people fight for their own gains.
Later the same day, when reporters sought Gopi's comments on BJP state chief K Surendran's stance on Mukesh's resignation, visuals showed Gopi angrily pushing away some reporters before entering his vehicle.
