Prashant Kishor, chief of Jan Suraaj, took a jibe at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, mocking his understanding of development models. Kishor argued that Yadav, whose party ruled Bihar for 15 years, lacks a grasp of GDP and growth rates. 'Comments can only be made when Tejashwi speaks on caste, extortion, liquor mafia, and crime, not development,' Kishor asserted.

Kishor further criticized Yadav, suggesting a disingenuous view of Bihar's progress. He remarked that Bihar seemed like Switzerland to Yadav while he was in government but now looks like a gutter to him in opposition. 'If Nitish Kumar joins Mahagathbandhan, Bihar will again look great to him,' Kishor added.

Criticizing the caste census proposed by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Kishor emphasized that conducting a caste census alone won't eradicate poverty. He questioned why the Congress, in power for 60 years, hadn't initiated such a census. Kishor urged Gandhi to first conduct caste censuses in Congress-ruled states like Karnataka and Telangana.

Prashant Kishor expressed confidence in his plans for the 2025 Bihar assembly elections, announcing Jan Suraaj's intention to contest all 243 seats with at least 40 women candidates. He outlined a vision for economic independence for women and vowed to eradicate the need for Biharis to seek low-paying jobs outside the state.

Kishor announced the launch of a new political party on October 2, Gandhi Jayanti, ahead of the Bihar assembly polls. He revealed that the party would start with over one lakh office bearers and emphasized that leaders would be elected from their respective assembly constituencies, rather than being led by him.
