Akhilesh Yadav, the Samajwadi Party president, has urged for a defamation case against BJP MLA Rajesh Chaudhary over his derogatory remarks about BSP chief Mayawati. The remarks were captured in a video shared on X by Yadav on Friday.
In the video, Chaudhary, MLA from Mathura district's Mant area, claimed that the BJP had mistakenly facilitated Mayawati's first term as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He also alleged that she was the most corrupt Chief Minister of UP.
Condemning these statements, Yadav emphasized that such accusations tarnish Mayawati's dignity and insult public opinion in a democratic society. He added that the remarks reflect deep-seated biases against women from marginalized communities and demanded immediate disciplinary action from the BJP.
