The Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) organized a protest rally in Jammu on Friday, calling for the immediate restoration of Jammu and Kashmir's statehood. The YRS, which has long championed the rights of the Dogra community, threatened an indefinite hunger strike if their demands remain unmet.

Scores of YRS activists, led by President Vikram Singh, assembled near the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh, the last Dogra ruler, located near the Tawi bridge. The demonstrators voiced their demand for the restoration of statehood for the region.

'We held a protest in support of our demand for the restoration of statehood in Jammu and Kashmir,' Singh told reporters. 'We will launch an indefinite hunger strike here if the government fails to restore the statehood. All people should support us,' he added.
