Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday criticized the Congress for forming an alliance with the National Conference ahead of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly polls. Shah accused the Congress of jeopardizing India's unity and security in pursuit of political power.

Highlighting the Congress's coalition with the Abdullah family's National Conference, the BJP leader challenged the party's stance on several policy issues. Shah posed a series of questions to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on social media platform X, asking if the party supports the National Conference's commitment to a separate flag for Jammu and Kashmir and the restoration of Article 370 and 35A. These policies, Shah suggested, would plunge the region back into an era of unrest and terrorism.

The Union home minister further inquired whether Congress endorses dialogues with Pakistan over local youth, and if it supports the National Conference's plans to resume LoC trade with Pakistan. Additionally, Shah called out Congress for allegedly backing the reinstatement of individuals involved in terrorism and stone-pelting into government jobs, and for its purported anti-reservation stance harming Dalits and other marginalized communities.
