Rahul Gandhi's Emotional Appeal for J&K Statehood Restoration

Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, made an emotional appeal to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, stressing that the Congress party's priority is the restoration of J&K's statehood.

Gandhi's visit also saw the formation of an alliance with the National Conference, as he held talks with party leaders Farooq and Omar Abdullah at their residence.

He emphasized that the INDIA bloc is united in its effort to return democratic rights to the people of J&K, criticising the central government's decision to downgrade the region from a state to a Union Territory.
