Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the eve of his visit to Ukraine, reiterated India's support for peace in the region, emphasizing that 'this is not an era of war' and urging for conflicts to be resolved through diplomacy and dialogue.
Speaking to the Indian diaspora in Warsaw, Modi highlighted India's evolving foreign policy, its focus on humanitarian efforts, and its ambitions to become a global economic leader. He also mentioned India's commitment to maintaining a balance between economic growth and ecological preservation.
Modi's visit to Kyiv marks the first trip by an Indian Prime Minister to Ukraine since its independence in 1991 and follows a recent visit to Moscow that drew criticism from the US and some Western allies. His statements come amid plans to establish a Jam Saheb Memorial Youth Action program with Poland and further India-Poland ties.
