The Gujarat unit of the Congress party is intensifying its demand for SEBI chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch's resignation during the concluding phase of its 'Nyay Yatra' march through Ahmedabad, according to a senior party leader on Wednesday.

The 350-km long Nyay Yatra, which began in Morbi on August 9, is set to reach Ahmedabad on Thursday. State Congress president Shaktisinh Gohil reported that the march would proceed from Rajiv Bhavan to the iconic Sabarmati Ashram before its conclusion.

During the Nyay Yatra, the party aims to highlight allegations by Hindenburg Research against SEBI chairperson Buch and her reluctance to step down. The core aim of the Nyay Yatra, led by Congress Seva Dal president Lalji Desai, is to seek justice for victims of recent incidents in Gujarat, including the Rajkot game zone fire. Gohil added that the response from the public has been positive, and their concerns will be addressed by Congress leaders in various legislative forums.
