BJP and NCP Nominees File for Maharashtra By-elections

Dhairyasheel Patil from the BJP and Nitin Patil from the NCP have officially filed their nominations for the Rajya Sabha bypolls set for September 3 in Maharashtra. This move comes on the last day for submitting nominations.

Dhairyasheel Patil aims to fill the vacancy left by Udayanraje Bhosale, who successfully secured a Lok Sabha seat from the Satara constituency. Nitin Patil, on the other hand, is contesting for the seat vacated by Piyush Goyal, who won Lok Sabha elections from Mumbai North.

With the stronghold of BJP and its allies in the Maharashtra Assembly, both nominees are anticipated to win effortlessly. Legislative officials stated that the bypoll results would be disclosed on August 26, given that Independent nominations are expected to be dismissed.
