NCP (SP) leader Supriya Sule has targeted the Maharashtra government's Ladki Bahin scheme, labeling the ruling dispensation as 'extremely selfish' and accusing it of viewing the brother-sister relationship through a 'prism of money.'

Speaking at a rally in Dhule district, Sule asserted that the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, aimed at providing financial assistance to women, was launched in response to the Lok Sabha poll shock for the ruling Mahayuti alliance, which includes Shiv Sena, BJP, and NCP.

Sule criticized the government for allocating Rs. 200 crore for the promotion and advertising of the scheme. She suggested that the funds could have been used to support ASHA workers for the next ten years. She added that women require better MSP for soybean and cotton, jobs for the unemployed, and inflation control more than the Ladki Bahin scheme.

The government has misunderstood women's needs, Sule argued, labeling the current administration as 'selfish' and driven by political motives. She urged the audience to choose a government elected by the people rather than one formed by breaking parties. Sule also claimed that the upcoming state assembly elections are being postponed due to the government's fear.

Encouraging the crowd to take the Ladki Bahin scheme's financial aid, she emphasized that it is their own money and would not be reclaimed. Sule concluded by urging voters to support the MVA for better governance, fair MSP, and resolution of water issues.
