Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday, addressing financial concerns of his state.
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief highlighted Andhra Pradesh's fiscal distress and requested increased support under various central schemes to aid the state's redevelopment.
The TDP, which has 16 Lok Sabha MPs, plays a crucial role in the BJP-led NDA government. Naidu previously met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to seek additional financial assistance for the heavily indebted southern state. He is also scheduled to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his visit to the national capital.
