Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has leveled serious accusations against the Modi administration, alleging that the government employs misleading employment statistics as a public relations tool.

Kharge shared an alarming media report revealing that Mumbai Police received 1.11 lakh applications for merely 1,257 posts of women constables and drivers, highlighting the grave unemployment scenario.

He further cited distressing incidents, such as the burgeoning number of distress calls to a helpline set up by the Diamond Workers Union in Gujarat and the overwhelming turnout for limited vacancies at Mumbai airport and a private company in Bharuch, Gujarat.
