In a significant political development, two-time MLA Sukhwinder Kumar Sukhi has officially joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). The announcement was made on Wednesday in the presence of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

Welcoming Sukhi into the party, Mann emphasized that Sukhi has consistently worked for the welfare of the downtrodden, highlighting his dedication to public service.

The event saw the participation of senior AAP leader and national general secretary, Sandeep Pathak. Sukhi, a doctor by profession, has previously served as an MLA from the Banga assembly seat in SBS Nagar district, having won elections in both 2017 and 2022 under the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) banner.
