On Saturday, the BJP launched sharp criticism at Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of not fulfilling his party's election promises in Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh. They alleged that Gandhi is now synonymous with deception, lies, and deceit.
Speaking at the party headquarters, BJP national spokesman Gaurav Bhatia claimed that the Congress government in Karnataka has only fulfilled two out of 59 promises made during the state assembly elections. He further stated that the Congress failed on several promises concerning education and employment. According to him, only three percent of the poll promises have been honored, leaving Karnataka's electorate feeling betrayed.
Bhatia also accused Gandhi of ignoring the plight of farmers in Karnataka and labeled the Congress as anti-farmer and anti-disadvantaged communities. On the other hand, the Congress attacked PM Modi's appeal for the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, alleging that he is trying to appropriate a national symbol that his ideological kin have historically ignored.
