Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has appealed to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to inaugurate the much-anticipated Gadag-Talkal Junction-Kustagi railway line in April.
In his letter, Siddaramaiah highlighted the significance of expanding railway infrastructure for regional connectivity and socioeconomic development. Approved in the 2013-14 railway budget, this project connects the Mumbai-Karnataka and Kalyana-Karnataka regions.
Spanning 275 km with an estimated cost of Rs 22,000 crore, the project is set to boost trade and mobility across Karnataka. Siddaramaiah underscored the state's 50% financial contribution, emphasizing its commitment to infrastructure growth.
