Congress Rajya Sabha MP Digvijaya Singh on Friday accused the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh of registering false cases against Congress functionaries.

Speaking at a rally in Lahar town, Singh warned that the BJP should not assume it will remain in power forever, noting that the administration is harassing Congress workers under government pressure.

'When the people's anger intensifies, it will teach them a lesson,' the former chief minister said. He criticized the state government for corruption and bias, alleging that legal actions were targeting Congress leaders while sparing BJP members. Similar accusations were echoed by Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee president Jitu Patwari, who pointed to the selective targeting of leaders' residences.

Former Opposition Leaders Ajay Singh and Govind Singh, along with Arun Yadav and Jaivardhan Singh, also addressed the rally, denouncing local collectors and police superintendents as 'BJP agents.' The Congress delegation, led by Patwari, later submitted a memorandum and filed a complaint against the local collector, seeking an FIR on these matters.
