India's March to Development: BJP Leader Bommai Praises PM Modi

BJP leader Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, asserting that India is on track to become a developed nation by 2047.

Speaking during the Finance Bill, 2024 debate in the Lok Sabha, Bommai compared Modi's credibility to that of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, stressing his morality, leadership quality, and public trust.

Bommai likened Modi to 'Neelkanth' (Lord Shiva) for enduring insults while doing good for the people, claiming that without Modi, India would face economic, social, and political chaos. He emphasized that tackling issues like poverty, unemployment, and illiteracy requires scientific approaches rather than political games.

In the same debate, Abhay Kumar Sinha (RJD) criticized the Union Government for not granting Bihar special status despite its double-engine government, questioning their commitment to the state's development. Shambhavi (LJP, Ram Vilas) countered by highlighting Bihar's emerging economy and the potential growth driven by the government at both the Centre and state levels.
