The meeting, chaired by Modi, featured discussions aimed at fostering collaboration between the Centre and state governments. This cooperative effort is expected to enhance the quality of life for both rural and urban populations by strengthening government intervention mechanisms.
The council, the apex body of NITI Aayog, convened with state chief ministers, lieutenant governors of Union Territories, and several Union ministers. The agenda also incorporated recommendations from the 3rd National Conference of Chief Secretaries held last December, focusing on better governance practices.
