Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen announced a significant reshuffle of her government on Thursday, appointing six new ministers and bringing the total number of ministers to 25, the largest in 30 years.
This reshuffle, including the formation of a new ministry focused on emergency preparedness, climate change, and cyber crimes, reflects the increasingly troubled global landscape. Torsten Schack Pedersen will head this new ministry following its official presentation to King Frederik X.
Other key changes include Jeppe Bruus heading a new ministry coordinating Denmark's green policy, aligning with the country's ambitious climate goals. Notably, Copenhagen mayor Sophie Hæstorp Andersen will take charge of social affairs, replacing Pernille Rosenkrantz-Theil.
