Rangasamy to Attend Niti Aayog Meeting Amid Opposition Boycott

Chief Minister N Rangasamy is set to participate in the Niti Aayog meeting in New Delhi on July 27, an official from his office confirmed on Friday. Leading the AINRC-BJP coalition government in the union territory, Rangasamy will be part of the ninth governing council meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Several Opposition-ruled states, including neighboring Tamil Nadu, have declared a boycott of the meeting in response to the Union Budget 2024-25, which was presented on July 23.
Chief Minister MK Stalin of Tamil Nadu expressed his disappointment, stating that the budget has completely overlooked his state. As a form of protest, he announced that he will not attend the NITI Aayog meeting, calling the budget a 'big disappointment' for Tamil Nadu.
